This course defines therapeutic groups and provides an understanding on why groups work well for treating individuals with a SUD. Further explains the purpose of groups, main characteristics, leadership and techniques of various group therapy models. This course will also provide guidance on the many considerations that should be weighed before placing a client in a particular group.
